This chess class is hands-on and interactive. It teaches how to checkmate your opponent. Checkmate is the goal of the game and learning different combinations is a great "next step" after the beginners' class. 
Students will learn:

• The rules for checkmate
• How to win a game of chess in 4 moves
• Checkmate with two rooks
• Checkmate with a king and a rook
• Checkmate with a king and a queen
• Special checkmate positions
• Checkmate puzzles and their solutions

Recommended for ages 8 - adult
