From its beginnings as the brainchild of Manchester businesswoman Mary Fife in 1895 to sold out performances at Methuen’s Memorial Music Hall, the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra has evolved to become a major contributor to the musical life of the region. Follow this story through a presentation on the history of the orchestra and some of the interesting musicians who have been a part of the orchestra, including Pulitzer Prize winning composer, John Adams.
